FAQ
Does it cost anything?
No. Hosting a pool is free. What you play for, points or money, is decided by your pool administrator.
When do picks lock?
All games for a day lock at the start of that day's first game. If there are games at 9:30am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm and 8:30pm, all games for that day lock at 9:30am. The site runs on Eastern time.
Do I have to pick every game at once?
No. You can pick early games (Thursday or Saturday) first and finish the rest later. But any game you haven't picked when that day's games lock counts as a loss.
What happens in a tie?
In the weekly and playoff pools, the amount is split between the players with the highest score. Survivors at the end of the regular season split the survivor pot equally.
How do I join a friend's pool?
Ask your pool admin to invite you. You don't need an account first. Open the email invitation from NFL Pick'Em (subject NFL PickEm - Invitation) and click Click Here to Join. Your pool and email are already filled in: choose a username and password and click Join. No email confirmation needed. Already have an account that isn't in a pool? Your invitation has a login link instead: log in and the pool is added automatically. No invitation? Sign up, log in, choose Join A Pool and enter the pool name and invitation code from your pool admin.
Can I be in more than one pool?
No. One email address can only be in one pool, so an invitation to an email that's already in a pool is refused.
Can I get pick reminders?
Yes. Turn on pick reminders in My Account > Edit Your Profile: tick Weekly Pick Reminder and Survivor Pick Reminder, then click Update.
Can the survivor pool start mid-season?
Yes. The pool admin chooses the first week of the survivor pool, so it can start at any time in the season.
Who do I contact for help?
Your pool admin can make changes to your settings and entries. Use Contact Pool Admin at the bottom of the page once you're signed in.
